Should I have a Shower for second baby?

I'm on the fence about this. I have a 13m little boy and I'm due in August (sex unknown) but was wondering if it's "not cool" to have a shower if I end up having another boy. Thoughts?

I would say a diaper sprinkle but if you're having another boy so close in age I think it would be selfish to have a full blown shower.  People will always gift clothes but as for the big items you should have things left from your son.  I could be wrong and other ladies might feel differently but in my culture it wouldn't be done.

I asked this same question and had so many women freak out on me, but I worded my poll poorly lol my first shower was small and the only gifts we had received were diapers, wipes and clothes, because my husband and I had everything else taken care of and we didn't want pacifiers and such. It wasn't a "normal" shower and now I'm expecting again. Regardless of the gender, my family, friends and co workers want to throw another shower/sprinkle and I truly felt guilty about it. I don't know the baby's gender yet, but they are determined to do one, so I'm letting them. I think everyone deserves to have some type of celebration for their baby, regardless of their children being close in age, even if it isn't a full on shower. You do what you think is best! 😊

you can do this, just ask unisex clothing and items for babies (body wash, pampers, wipes, etc.) not solid colors like (purple, pink, blue or red )can make a register in a baby store and put exactly what you want for the baby...the colors you can use are (light yellow, light green, orange, ect) colors that can use for girls or boys and so you're not going to go crazy good luck and congrats for you baby 👶👶

I would,  but just register for the additional items you need.  I personally think not reusing your previous sturdy items would be a waste...unless it's a different gender.  If people get offended,  they don't have to come! 💕

I would!! Just put the additional items you now need on your registry and ignore the haters. Maybe I have a "higher income family" but I love buying gifts and celebrating every new baby! Plus, even if someone can't afford a ton, they can still attend! I don't think gifts should ever be mandated or expected. The point is it's a celebration of life! Have fun 😊

I wouldn't ... I'd have a small party though and put "no gifts please, just the pleasure of your company!" On the invites.. Some people will still bring gifts :)

It depends on if you have a girl or a boy. If you have a boy, maybe just have a sip and see. If you have a girl, have a sprinkle because you will need clothes and people LOVE to gift baby girl clothes. But keep it small either way.

Every baby deserves to be celebrated! If people choose to bring a gift, let them :) it's not for you anyway, it's for your baby. 
I've gone to many showers where people have multiple children, it never once crossed my mind weather they "needed" the items or if they were being selfish.

Usually it's shower for 1st sprinkle for 2nd. That's what I did.
