Is it normal to be scared about the cord being wrapped about babies neck ?

Is there any way to prevent it.. I'm so parinod.. i feel they should give me a ultrasound before I give birth like while in labour.  How do they know baby is ok in there im freaking out 😟

There is no way to prevent it, and you'll be hooked up to a minister that watches babies heart. If the heart rate drops depndong on the severity and depending on your dilation they will do an emergency c-section. Really don't stress about to.

Most of the time babies who are born with the cord wrapped around the neck is because they dropped too fast causing the cord to be stuck below the head and making it get stuck around the face or neck.

It not sow hung you shoud worry about.

It's normal to scared! Especially about things we can't control but try not to stress. My son's cord was wrapped around his neck. Thankfully, the cord didn't cause any issues even after pushing for over 3 hours. My doctor simply unwrapped it when his head was delivered. He did make me stop pushing so he could unwrap it. My son was monitored the whole time and he never showed signs of stress. I've heard it's really common. But still normal to think about!

I used to be worried about this same thing my 1st pregnancy. I ended up having a C section. With my 2nd son I had another C section, they said the cord was around his neck. It was really loose though, it just took minimal untangling I guess, I couldn't see down there. I did wonder if I had to push him out, what would have happened.
