How many weeks will you start trying to induce labor?

I'm only 27w4d so clearly i won't be starting now but it's finally feeling close, since I'm in the third trimester! but I was wondering when you guys plan to start drinking raspberry tea (I think that's what your supposed to take?) and using birthing balls and having sex etc.? Also what do you plan on doing to try to induce on your own?

I don't get it WHY you want to stress out about 'inducing' labor...... Your Baby tells your body when it'll be born and starts labor .... No need to get busy about it usually. You can start to drink raspberry tea to prepare your body for labor 3 weeks before your due date.

I hate to see lady's talk like this, let ur bby stay in as long as they like...I lost a bby cause my body couldn't carry n I was told plan n simple if I could have kept her in a lil longer she would have lived!!! They will let u know when they are ready!!

37-38 weeks. More walking, spicy foods (which i crave anyway lol) and s-e-x...this one does it everytime. The key is semen ON the cervix, meaning your guy must finish INSIDE 😉
Oh and I think Im going try the pineapple juice this time around too :)

Regardless of what I was trying to do to induce labor naturally, I still didn't dilate and had to be induced. So, I'm not even going to bother wasting my time this go round and if the baby comes, the baby comes, if not I've been induced before so it's like "been there, done that" lol I tried everything and my doctor actually suggested tips and tricks and nothing worked. I know this pregnancy is different, but we had so much trouble with my cervix/dilation, I don't even want to put forth all that effort again just to be disappointed if nothing changes. However, when I did try natural things like sex, walking, primrose evening oil, pineapples, spicy foods etc. I was at 38 weeks and while my daughter was in the birth canal and the doctor could feel her head behind my cervix, I hadn't dilated any at all and the pressure was unreal. I went back at 39 weeks, nearly 40 after trying all those tips and tricks and nothing lol I wouldn't start trying to do anything until 38 weeks at least, just because measurements can be off and you wanna make sure baby is in a good position with their development to come. But personally, unless you have issues like I did, I'd just ride it out and let the baby come when he or she is ready. I know the last part of pregnancy is rough and you get impatient for baby, but the baby will come when ready, if not they'll induce and the baby will be further along and better off.

I agree, let the baby stay as long as needed. When it's time, it will happen. But drinking red raspberry leaf tea is great, it helps strengthen the uterus, it's also great after delivery.

I usually start drinking the tea at 35 weeks. It won't really induce labour but it helps soften and can prevent tears.

I'll try properly induce at about 38 weeks. Not thay it will work but ill try.
