Question about TTC

So me and my boyfriend will be together 3 years he end of October. We hope to get married some time after that. My question is we are wanting to start TTC right after we get married. But my bf mom thinks we should wait a couple of years until we start TTC. She says we need to get used to being married. But I feel like it will be no different after we are married. I mean we already love together? So I mean should I wait? Or should I just go with my gut and what I want to do?
