NT scan - vaginal or abdominal?

I'm getting the NT scan next week and have to drink a lot of water beforehand. I've been so nauseous sometimes it's hard to drink that much. Do you guys know if they do both at the appointment or just the abdominal??

It'll just be abdominal. And you don't have to drink loadsssss of water. Just need a comfortably full bladder. So not were you are desperate 😊

I just had mine yesterday. It's abdominal. I actually was told to drink water and have a full bladder, however as soon as they started they made me go to the bathroom and empty my bladder because it was too full and obstructing the view. It was awesome tho first time I got to see the baby and it was moving and waving super cool. Got tons of pics printed and a flash drive with pictures and a video of the u/s too so awesome!

I had mine today. It was just an abdominal ultrasound & the tech printed tons (I think like 20) pictures for us!! They gave me a flyer when I set up the appointment on what to do - don't pee until after. I peed before I left the house, stopped at 711 for an apple juice, drank that on the way there  (20 min drive) and everything was fine. The only issue we had is that the baby didn't want to flip over - I walked around for 10 min and problem solved

Abdominal.  Make sure you drink enough at least 2 full glasses of water before.  My bladder was only have full and they had to really press down on my stomach to see the baby.  You could actually see my pee filling up my bladder too lol

If it's transvaginal they want an empty bladder so my guess would be abdominal. How far along are you? At 8 weeks I had transvaginal.
