Medicare/Medicaid

Kia
I got a call from my insurance saying that my pregnancy Medicare was about to be over and that I can re-apply for adult Medicaid, which I was planning on doing. But then she told me that it is a requirement to file for child support on the father in order to get approved for this insurance. My response was "what the fuck...I'm so sorry, but I HAVE to file child support in order to contribute with Medicare? She's then laughing lol and tells me that yes, it's a requirement. So I'm like welp, I guess I won't be on Medicaid then. She said I can always call back and apply if I change my mind. I talked to my MIL and she told me that I could tell them that I have my SO on child support that isn't through the system and basically say he's giving me so much money per week so that I won't actually have to put him on child support but I can still get the insurance. I'm just wondering if anybody else has done this or heard of this before. In all honesty sounds like some illegal shit to me, to lie and say we're "in agreement" on child support. We live together and are together so there's no reason we'd have to be in binding agreement on payments of any sort.
