Nipping out with nipple piercings

So I've been considering getting my nipples done for years... Only real thing stopping me is I'm afraid I will be nipping 24/7. I don't like the look or feeling of it and I constantly wear tight fitting shirts... Is this an irrational fear or is it constant visible hard nipples through your clothing?
