Big baby? C-section :/

Question

Has anyone in here be told by their doctor that your baby may be big just by looking at your belly, but yet you had a normal size baby?

My doctor told me that my belly is big and that it looks like my baby will be 8lbs..
I dont want to believe this because im a small girl and i have been eating healthy my whole pregnancy..

my last ultrasound was when i was 25weeks (in which my baby was perfect weight) & now i am 37 weeks but i never got my last ultrasound :(

Im worried because i dont want a C-section.. Just want to hear if its possible to just guess the weight by looking at my belly

I think it's pretty crappy of your doctor to plant that idea into your head.

Ultrasounds aren't even accurate at determining the size if the baby, let alone going off of belly size.

Many women deliver big babies. My son was 9 pounds 11 oz and u delivered him vaginally with no epidural and only pushed 5 times.

You being a small women has nothing to do with others either. Our bodies are designed for this. Your body has been preparing for months for this. Hormones in your body are loosening everything up down there to allow for your baby to come through.

Sounds to me like another doctor bullying a mother into a c section for his or her own benefit! Big babies are naturally delivered all of the time. You can birth that baby! They have no way of knowing *true* baby's size.

My mom had my big brother natural and he had 10 pounds , they didn't know how big it's the baby because she never had any ultrasound , she had the  baby without any complications 
This is my brother after 41 years ,he was a big baby and my mom did great , I think in this days doctor choose c-section because it's more easi for them and more expensive

It's rare your body produces a baby it can not birth. He's going to make more money, and it is much easier on them to schedule it.

I'm not a very big person and I pushed out a 9lb baby. They guessed he'd be 7-8 at the most. And I had no problems getting him out. C sections are only to be done if there's a medical problem. Size isn't a problem. Don't worry.

My little sister was 10lb 4oz, delivered all natural... Vaginally, no painkillers.

So you're going to be just fine. Just keep your mind on the healthiest and safest delivery option for you and baby. ^.^

My sister-in-law just delivered a 10.5lb, 23in long baby vaginally. It is definitely possible. Me on the other hand I cannot deliver babies vaginally at all I almost died with my first and he was only 7lb 13oz, and they will not allow it this time around so I have no choice but to have c-sections. It really all depends on the woman I think.

I'm in Australia and I've never heard of a c section being arranged because of babies predicted size, it seems to be a lot more common in America based off this app.
I delivered a nearly 10 pound baby with no epidural, I was never given a weight estimate leading up to it and and no issues at all with delivery that were related to having a big baby.
