Did I lose my mucus plug?

Sorry if TMI but what did your mucus plug look like when you lost it? First time mom and not sure if I lost mine or not. My cervix was checked earlier today, (about 6 and a half hours ago) and I don't know if the discharge is from that or if it was my mucus plug. It's not like normal discharge, more like a giant white blob. At first I thought my water was leaking because it happened so suddenly. Is it my mucus plug or just from having my cervix checked?
