How do I tell my best friend who is struggling with infertility that I'm pregnant?

My very best friend is struggling to get pregnant and even lost a baby several months ago. I have mourned with her and I have listened to how hard this trial is for her. She has also talked about how she always feels a sense of jealously when she hears about someone getting pregnant or having a baby.

I recently found out that I am pregnant with my second baby. My husband and I haven't told anyone yet, but I am so nervous to tell my best friend and be sensitive to how she may feel about it.

Does anyone have any advice or tips about telling a friend who is struggling with infertility that you're pregnant?

My friend and I were TTC at the same time. Granted I was trying for a few years and she was only trying for a much shorter time. I had lost two so I was always upset when she was like I give up. TTC is an emotional struggle. You have been close enough to your friend where you are sympathetic with her. Tell her in person if you can, she will hurt there is no avoiding that, but make her apart of the pregnancy. Still be supportive and help her not lose hope.

Take her out for coffee or lunch and tell her in person.  Acknowledge that you empathize with her situation and were worried that the news would upset her.  I think her knowing that you care and empathize with her will help her in the long run.  Honesty and communication are best :)

This is a very sensitive subject for some women. I shared my pregnancy with some people who had their own struggles and they were actually really happy for me. I think it just depends on the person :-/

Either via text or email so she can process her emotions before talking to you. If you ambush her in person or in a group it will make it worse.

I was in the same boat, but i ultimatly told her because she knew we were trying. But, she hasnt talked to me much since ive told her and its kind hurting my feelings.
