How do you want to get married?

Question

My fiancé and I are just going to the courthouse. I don't want to and don't have the money to spend on some lavish wedding. Plus it's not me. I'd rather spend that money on our baby we are expecting. What are your opinions?

We had a small wedding with just family and close friends. It was perfect for us. Probably 10 years down the road we'll plan the wedding we always dreamed of but for now we have amazing memories from our first.

Me and my husband got married in Vegas! It wasn't a shotgun wedding though we planned it! I still bought a nice dress and he bought a suit, we got married by Elvis (which I thought was just too cool) then went and played in the dessert for our wedding pics! Best day ever and didn't break the bank!! It would've been nice to have some family there but having it be just us made it more special:)

I'm not going to the courthouse or having a lavish wedding. We are having a wedding of 80 guest & have kept our budget at $5,000 without sacrificing everything we wanted!

My SO and I are going to have a private ceremony in nature led by his gay best friend. It will be more of a commitment ceremony than a wedding.

If we really had it like that we would looove to do a nice church wedding, but we've decided to go to courthouse instead and just have a nice little reception afterwards. ..that way our families & friends can help us celebrate!

My husband and I got married in the park in the neighborhood I grew up in. A family friend did our ceremony. It didn't cost a dime and I couldn't be more happy we did it that way.

We went to the courthouse and it was great. We had people that we wanted there and ate afterward. I think it'll be nice to renew our vows in the future and have something big and beautiful when money is less of an issue.
