Childminder boundaries.
Hi all, I recently saw a post on Facebook and I wanted your thoughts on it. To sum it up, a childminder was asking for advice about a 5 month old she looked after. She detailed his daily diet and then expressed the opinion that he was overweight for his age and had been introduced to solids too early. I think his daily food intake included 3 meals and possibly 3/4 bottles from what she was saying. The childminder wanted to know if she should say something to the mother or if she should just cut out some feeds without telling the parent.
What are your thoughts on this? How would you react as either the childminder or the parent/guardian? Is it wrong? Where does the line stop in terms of boundaries? And are there any exceptions?
