Can somebody help me figure this out??!!!

Ok so I went for my first scan today and going by my dates I am ment to be 5 weeks and 1 day but when she did the internal scan she found that I was more like 4 weeks and 1 day.... So basically what I want to know is what day did I concieve or how come I conceived a week later or earlier I'm confused

When doctors tell you that you are 5 weeks 1 day, they count the first day of your last period as day 1 of your pregnancy. That's usually an estimate for easy counting clinically. As Gunce and other's mentioned, according to your ovulation, your actual pregnancy is between 4-5 weeks, and the scan only tells you how your baby looks like compared to the average. The scan can't tell the exact days of pregnancy either. A slight discrepancy is normal. Hope this answers your question.

So let's assume March 3rd to be on the safe side. That would make you 33 days pregnant.

​So it makes sense that you are slightly over 4 weeks pregnant.

How did your calculation work to get 5 weeks and 1 day? It might be because of your way of calculation or the development of your baby was a bit slow so that it looked like 4 weeks on a scan.
