Is he allowed to go visit his female friends?

Hey so I've been dating my boyfriend for about a year now and I have known him for about three. He is a gamer so he meets people over his games. He met this girl through one of his games like 2 years ago. She lives in another state and he wants to meet or they want to meet each other. They were talking about her coming out this summer but she can't because of jobs and college. He offered to pay for her trip and he never really spends money on me. I found all of this out because I went through his phone. I confronted him about it and asked why he kept it from me and he said because it wasn't going to happen. And then I asked where she would stay and he said his garage and I told him I wanted her at a hotel and I want his door open when they are in his room and that I don't want them sitting on his bed together. He said I was being ridiculous and that I don't trust him. I've had problems in the past and I do just not when it comes to girls because of my experiences in the past. I'm scared to put all of my trust because I'm scared he might use that to his advantage. I need peoples opinions on this. Be 100% honest.
