I agree you should connect with a breastfeeding consultant rather than your doctor, and join a support group. there's a group where I live that has a very sensitive scale so moms can see how much baby weighs, feed, and weigh again to see how much baby got. but a consultant will support you and give you much better advice

If baby is growing and meeting mile stones that's the most important thing! Try not to be so hard on yourself, and get plenty of support!

Most breastfeeding ending prematurely is because bad advice, even from medical providers. They are not all up to date on what we know now. It all depends. My sister tried to breastfeed with both of hers and never produced breast milk. That's not to say that if it happened once it will happen again, but it did in her case.
