Suggestions?

Question

I've been on birth control since I was 15. Started with the pill, was on depo for 2 years, went to pill (couldn't remember to take it everyday) and then got the Skyla IUD. I've had my IUD for about 8 months but my SO and I have been talking about starting a family. So I guess my question to you ladies is; how long does it take to regulate after getting off birth control? Side effects?  How long should I wait before not using protection? 
I've heard of so many girls getting pregnant the same month they take their IUD out and as much as I want to have a child with my fiancé, I also want to be in a bigger house first (we have a 2 bedroom apartment now) so I don't want it to happen right away but I also want my body to get back to its natural vibes.

I've never had IUD but I used to get the depo shot. I quit getting the depo when I got married to my husband in March of 2015. Last depo shot was in Feb. We didn't get pregnant until December of 2015. I'm not sure if it's because of the birth control or if it's because of the stress I went through at my job (I quit about a week before I got pregnant) but it took us almost a year. I noticed that no one else shared so I thought I'd try to help a little 😊
Also, this is my second pregnancy. I am 24 and have a 4 year old daughter. I think you're at the perfect age to be trying! If you wait until you're much older (I think about 35+) it causes the risk of complications, etc to increase. Granted my daughter was not planned, I'm very blessed that I didn't get pregnant at 15 when I lost my V card.
