Ovulation days after period?

I'm new to this app, and using it for Fertility Awareness as one form of birth control. I'm new to all this, but I've been tracking my periods, and my CM is just not there around my ovulation time. I drink lots of water and exercise. I have a high sex drive and egg white CM just days after I finish my period. I broke down and bought an ovulation kit, since today is suppose to be my ovulation day, and it was negative. I'm going to take another tomorrow, then wait for my next period. I have a feeling I'll get a positive test after my period stops. Anyone else have this issue??
