85th percentile good??????

Question

Went for our anatomy scan today and baby boy is measuring very long legs with a 77th percentile & with a 65th percentile Belly.
 But over all measuring 85th percentile. Does this mean I might have a BIG baby and possibly not have a vaginal delivery???

My baby was 96th percentile at his first scan. At 34 weeks they told me he was already measuring 5lbs 10oz with a projected birth weight of 7lbs 13oz. Not a word about not being able to deliver vaginally. I wouldn't worry.

The average baby is 7 lbs so that's 50th percentile. By this measurement,  your child might be 8.5 lbs. however, those measurements are classically incorrect and mainly used to ensure your baby is growing. Even still, 8.5 is a great sized baby and would be fine vaginally.

Yes it's good. My daughter was at the 10th percentile and she came out healthy.
