MembrAne sweep ?

Can someone tell me what it feels like when you get your membranes swept. I had a cervical check today (38+3) and it hurt sooo sooo bad and its never really hurt before just uncomfortable. But i felt like he was in there a little longer than normal and i could feel him moving hos fingers back and fourth ? But he didnt tell me he was and i didnt ask ! Im almost 4cm and 85% thinned
