How to start the pill?

Hey everyone. So I've started to be sexually active in the last year and I always have him use a condom but I would still like to start myself on the pill, just to be extra safe, but I have no idea where to start or how the process goes? Or what type is better than another, I'm just totally lost on this, any help would be much appreciated! Thank you!

Go to your doctor and depending on which kind you want and they can either give it to you or send you in the right direction as to where you can get them. As most regular doctors office only give out pills and patches as they aren't something you need put inside you. Planned parenthood centers do the rest.
