What should I do?

My husband just told me his co-worker (female) invited him & his other co-workers for a bday dinner. I don't know how to feel about it because he didn't ask if I wanted to go. I had just told him about my friends bday party this Saturday I always try to include him & I felt bad that he didn't invite me. We rarely see each other because he works full time & goes to school & I work crazy retail hours.
Am I overreacting (pregnancy hormones) or should I be upset?

I would act like I was invited "oh that sounds like fun where are we going for the dinner?"

Find out if she invited just co workers or coworkers and their spouses. Then  i guess you can ask why he didn't invite you. Unless that was his way of inviting you? My husband just says so and so is having a party and it's understood that I'm going along with him unless i dont want to.

My husband and I comfortably talk about invitations whether we are going together or alone. Best would be to ask him if you should join. Just be honest and direct. But I understand what you mean in your post, I'd somehow be upset too.

Personally I would be fine with it. My Husband and I are both in the Army, but different units, so we work separately. Sometimes we go out with our co workers without each other and it's just fine. If he was going out with just 1 other woman, then that would be odd, group things are not odd.

It might just be a work dinner thing, ever thought of that? Maybe instead of muscling your way in, ask him if you can pick him up after dinner and meet/see everyone?

Nah...I'd want to be invited too...there's no reason why you couldn't go to and not drag the group down. I invited my man to work outings!
