Membranes stripping??

Question

I had my doctors appointment today and he said he was gonna strip my membranes next week, I would be 38 weeks... Has any of you gotten your membranes strip and how did it turned out?

Yes and two days later your water will break and you go into full blown labor so stay close to the door and have your bag packed! I have had mine stripped with both of my boys. The best thing ever especially if you are uncomfortable and are ready to meet your bundle of joy! Good luck mama!!

It didn't work for me. I had mine stripped with my first boy and ended up being induced and I just got mine stripped on Tuesday for this pregnancy and I'm still very much pregnant and no sign of baby coming. I'm 39 weeks

I got mines done at 39 weeks and 3 days it worked for me I went into labor that night and also it didn't hurt when they stripped them I didn't feel anything this was with my first baby

Did NOT work for me and I had to get induced. With the second child they asked if I wanted them stripped and I said heck no! It wasn't worth it for me and I am not a whimp!

With my son I had mine done twice, each time a week apart. First time was 38 weeks and the second time 39. My water broke the day before my due date. Just remember to take deep steady breaths while it's being done and don't get up right away. Stay on the table for a couple minutes and catch your breath.

I had it done at 39 weeks and 40 weeks and didn't deliver until 41 weeks! Didn't work for me.

I'm getting mine stripped next week as well, I heard it's uncomfortable but, it's supposed to help the baby come out sooner. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I'm hoping it works for me!
