Strange heart rhythm?

Question

Does anyone else have times when their heart will have a weird rhythm?  For instance, it might skip a beat (stop) and then beat very quickly for a few beats, like it's trying to catch up?  My doctor said she isn't worried about it but I hate it...

All the time, my dr said its from our changing hormone levels and elevated heart rate.

Heart palpitations can be caused for various reasons: anxiety, our increased blood volume (from being pregnant), and electrolyte abnormalities but sometimes they just happen... I wouldn't get too worried about it. If you had chest pain/ get light headed/ dizzy with it then I would seek out medical advice.

Hi it's an eptopic heartbeat my doctor diagnosed me but only started with pregnancy.. I'm glad I went to doctors because I used to be petrified something serious was up

Me.. but along with it being hard to breathe, chest pains, and my fingers on my left hand sometimes turn blue. They are still trying to figure out what's going on 🙁

I get the same thing! I used to have SVT and had an ablation four years ago to correct it. Since then I have had pvcs and pacs everyday. I see a cardiologist since they can get worse during pregnancy! No one seems concerned and I am on metoprolol for it. It's yucky but luckily not dangerous :)

Yes I have this issue, but I also went into SVT 2x this pregnancy (super fast heart rate) it was in the 200s for over 2 hours the second time it happened so i am now on heart medication until baby is born. But I still feel like my heart is acting funky some days:/

Palpitation are normal. I suffer from anxiety and PTSD so I get them All the time.

Yes I had them before pregnancy and I saw a cardiologist and he said it's was most likely PVC'S. He said they usually are harmless and my OB didn't seem too concerned when I told her and (after telling her I have them) one nurse even said "oh, just like everyone else who breathes" (which was uncalled for and rude as I just wasn't sure if it was important for her to know because I'm not in the medical field) I have more now that I'm pregnant but like I said my doctor doesn't seem worried.

Heart palpitations are normal, especially during pregnancy. The only concern is if they become painful (not uncomfortable, but painful.) Or if they are accompanied by dizziness.

Ye mine does it. I have PVCs and PACs. They make me cough sometimes and that's when I know it's happening. Annoying, freaky, but safe I've been told by my cardiologist :)
