ALL UK MUMS!! HELP

So I'm pregnant and looking into pain relief as I know I am a whimp and will want some. I've watched a lot of one born every minute and done research on the Internet about getting an epidural. However it seems lots of women are getting tricked out of pain relief. I've seen midwifes on OBEM say to carry on another hour.. But women still not receiving pain relief. I was wondering how bad the pain is before an epidural. Or how easy or hard it is to get pain relief. How bad is it? I'm so nervous!!!!!
