Does your baby eat meat?

I was talking with my sister and friends over weekend and they told me now that my little guy is eating fruits and veggie baby foods i should introduce the meat baby foods as they have protein that can be missing from babies diets from 6 months on.  Does anyone give their baby meat purres?

Bm doesn't contain enough iron after 6 mo so if bf you might want to add some meat or other high iron foods

My baby has had chicken and various types of fish so far. In the uk they advise giving baby one protein item at each meal. I gave my son fruit and vegetables only for the first month and then when he turned 7 months the health visitor said I should start introducing diary, meat and fish. He loves it. A very happy boy with growing chubby cheeks 😊

We've been feeding our 8 month old fruit, veg and meat, and everything else! I don't bother to make the meat into purée though, we do soft meat like fish and then tougher meat so he can gnaw on it. He's gagged a couple times when bigger prices hit his throat but just stay close by when he eats 😄 oh the only thing I do purée is soup, meat and all, he loves that!

Eating at this age just introduces different textures and tastes. All of their nutritional needs are being met with formula/breast milk. Up until 12 months that is their main source of nutrition.

My girls going to be 7 months next week.

She doesn't drink much formula (10-14oz) so she gets minimum 4oz of meat a day, plus 4oz of yogurt for protien / calcium.

So far she likes turkey with sweet potatoes, chicken and apple, and chicken noodle soup. Waiting for 9 months for red meats and fish.

I would if he actually are it lol. He's not taken to weaning very well. But we are a meat eating family so he's offered what we have.
