Ultrasounds & insurance....?

Called my insurance today and asked how many ultrasounds I can get and asked about 3D/4D and the women said it depends on you know if your docotor said its medically needed or not. I've heard people have said theirs covered for it even if it wasnt really medically needed. Cant you just ask your doctor for an extra ultrasound or the 3D/4D one...? You think theyd just put it down as medically needed and let you have it anyways? If that makes since 🙀

That's insurance fraud and I highly doubt a doctor would risk their license for you to look at your baby. Go to a private ultrasound place they are like 60-100$.

At my doctor they do have a 3D/4D machine so they advised me to wait till my medically necessary anatomy scan to use it then it's covered! ( besides the fee to add the pictures and video to my ultrasound dvd )

Depends on how moral your doctor is. You only need the gender one. 3D/4D is usually just for fun and considered elective. Unless you have medical issues you probably won't get any extra peeks unless you pay.

I don't think all insurance cover it. They aren't expensive there's is clinics with good prices packages
