SO away?

Question

How many of you have SO that travels for work or military etc.? My husband may be away for a job for almost a year.. We find out tomorrow... I was a single mom with my first child and it was incredibly hard.. 
I am scared it's just going to be me again but now with two kids.. 
I know lots of people do it.. I know it is possible but I am still freaking out. 
I wasn't working 40 hours a week when I had my first..

I'm pregnant and my husband is on the road for work from Sept to June. 
It's not easy but you survive.

Find lots of things that keep you fulfilled, interested, and happy.

The hardest part for me is missing the physical affection, I have no desire to get it elsewhere so you just make due.

Sometimes I'm a bitch to him because it's hard but he loves his work and I love him. So, it's all good.

My husband travels intermittently for a week at a time. It was fine when we weren't expecting a baby, but I've noticed that it bothers me significantly more now that I'm pregnant. That may just be the hormones.

If he's gone for a year is there a possibility you can temporarily move with him? A year is a very long time! Especially with a baby coming. It might make things complicated with pre/postnatal care, but it may be worth looking into?

What is your support system like? Do you have close family around you? We moved to Tennessee from Florida a year and a half ago and do not have family close by. I think it would be more difficult to have my husband away with no close family than if we had family around. We just recently plugged in to a church and are starting to connect with people there. I think that will make a huge difference!
