Ashy, Flaky Vagina, please help!

Hi, I have a problem. The skin around my vagina area is ashy and flaky all the time, and sometimes irritating when dry. I don't know what caused this but its been this way for months now. When I wake up and change, I can see the skin around my vagina is ashy and flaky and grey, which doesnt look nice against my dark skintone. When I try to moisturize down there, I use coconut lotion or olive oil because it doesnt have any added chemicals, but it leaves the skin a dark color, and by that night of the day, its back being ashy. Please help! I dont know what to do.
