Non-US Only.. How is your baby planned to arrive?

I am continuously surprised by all the c-sections and inductions and drugs planned for the majority of people on this forum. I'm assuming it's a US thing. Interested to see what everyone else is planning or what previous births were for people outside the US.

Birth in the US is horrendous! US Women don't take ownership of their care, they leave it all up to the doctor and assume that the doctor has their best intentions in mind. Intervention here is the norm. We have high newborn mortality rates as a result if using all the technology, meds and interventions and don't realize that those interventions are the cause. It's really sad. It is actually difficult to birth in a hospital with zero intervention. Yet, I'm the the risky mother because I choose an unmedicated homebirth.

It's a disaster! My doctor (in CA) says OBs are not getting trained the way they used to, so they see normal complications as "emergencies." Hence, "I had an emergency c-section" getting thrown out there every 2 seconds. I'm sure some are, but birth isn't THAT much of a risky thing!

Also not to mention the more $ thats involved in surgery.

In my city in Australia we have what they call a baby friendly hospital, which means minimal interventions, skin to skin, promotion of natural births, delayed cord clamping and emphasis on breast feeding all being the norm. 
They are prepared for the worst but have a model of care designed predominantly for natural births. 
Mainly midwife based.

There's also a faster turn around, and Americans are known to sue so it's safer for the doc to claim she or he did "everything"  they could,  which means c section.

I have zero Canadian mamas who got a c section,  that I know of. The only one I do know gave birth in America...  (lives there now,  not accidental).

Even my friend with two major preemies, they came on their own.

It's crazy! I'm glad it exists but it's nuts at these rates.  WHO recommends stats of less than 15% as acceptable.  I recently read Texas alone is as high as 75%!
