Long period

Can anyone tell me if when they came off the mircogynom pill if there period was longer/more painful than before? My period has returned after 7 months of nothing having come off the pill, and my usual periods last 4 days with lots of pain.. Well now I'm on day 5.. And I have a holiday in a few days and I do not want to be on for it!!
