How did you tell your parents that you were pregnant when you were young?

I'm 19, living with my parents and I just found out I'm pregnant. I want to tell them but I don't want them to think I'll fail or like I'm ruining my life. How did you tell them? I have my own car, job, and a very stable relationship with the father to my child.

Well simply that, you are not a kid, you are stablr in life and therefore just explain that. Also might be good to mention that you don't appreciate any negative comments before they start saying anything as it will affect the baby and you. Plus its just not nice. Someone young and pregnant needs nothing but full support

I was 19 when I got pregnant with my first. My mom and I always butt heads, so we had a very interesting relationship.  I was on the phone with her and told her over the phone...she wasn't happy.  I told my dad in person and he gasped for air.  Needless to say, they were not thrilled.  My daughter was not planned at all.  They eventually got over the fact that I was not responsible and ended up preggo.  Now they love and adore their granddaughter.

Well I was 15 a couple months befor my 16 birthday when I had my daughter (she just turned 8 in March 😊😊) and I just flat out told my mom she was very disappointed it broke my heart I considered adoption but I knew I couldn't go through with being without her so and my mom understood that considering your older you should be fine even though you are still living with them explain to them that yes this will make things more difficult but you plan on do everything you can to succeed and you will it's just harder but not impossible
