7 weeks PP and I think I am starting my period?!

I exclusively BF my baby for the first month until i couldn't produce and satisfy his growing stomach

About 2 months and he eats about 3 oz. I pump and bag still and do 2 oz formula 1 oz of breastmilk.

Last night after I was done bottle feeding my baby I had an urge to go to the bathroom, my vjay felt very wet....

Went to the bathroom, peed, wiped, blah blah blah... and I wiped a whole bunch of gooey brown "old blood" discharge. But on a pad and went to sleep. Woke up and j am now expiersncing cramps -_- ....I don't miss this feeling.

At my 6 week PP check up, I want the IUD because I don't plan to have another child for awhile. Being a first time mom is stressful because I worry too much. Anyways, my Dr wouldn't do the IUD because they recommend a 12 week PP wait instead of 6 weeks PP.. so she prescribed me 2 months of birth control pills...

I am just venting, not asking a question at all.

But, please let me know if you've expirienced the same thing to reassure me that I am not alone and this is normal?!
