Marvelon Contraceptive

I've currently been on Marvelon, 28 tablet birth control for about 4 months now. I am also currently doing laser hair removal treatments on my face. I finished my last treatment in August. But now I am noticing a bit of hair growth recently in the month of November. (No sign of hair growth from August to end of October). My  esthetician says it has to do with a sudden change in my menstruation cycle. On the other hand, my doctor said it would not affect my laser hair removal. Is it the type of birth control?? I have spent over $600 on these treatments.
