First or second period question

So about a month ago I got what I'm thinking was my first period after baby. I was around 7-8 weeks post partum and I breastfed for about a month. All the gunk from the postpartum bleeding I believe had stopped and I had mild cramping for about a week before it started. This "period" was light and no clots but lasted 5 days so I just figured it was my first period. My question is when you got your first period did the next one come on time for you or was it kind of all over for a few months? And was it a really heavy period? I'm aware everyone is different but, just kind of looking for some info on the topic.
