Membrane sweep

Ok so I saw my doctor last Friday for a check up and to see if I was dilated or anything and I was only 1cm and she said my cervix was getting soft.

My due date is May 2 which is next Monday...I see my doctor again this Friday and she asked me if I wanted to do a membrane sweep if nothing has changed.

I'm so ready to have him already but I'm not sure if I should do it or not? Have any you you down it before and does it work or hurt?
