Can anyone else relate

My son was born on 4/18/16... He was 3 weeks early. They took him to NICU because his platelets were low. He's been here for a week. They do transfuse him to give him more platelets but they go high above 50,000 which is awesome but then drop below that. In order for him to come home, they have to be stable 50,000 or above. They need my platelets now because the donors are working. Has anyone else had this issue??? How long did your lil one stay in the NICU??
