Was it ok to break the law in this situation?

Do you think that she is right in doing this even though technically it's breaking the law? Or do you think she was wrong ?

You do know chances are you've been in a public restroom with plenty of transgenders, right? Chances are you had no idea. Chances are you did your business in peace and so did they.

1) go into the men's room and risk sexual harassment
2)don't use public toilets, possibly rupture her bladder or wet herself
3)ignore this stupid insulting law

It'd take an idiot to tell me that they think that she would be safe from any abuse, be it verbal or physical, in a bathroom for men.

Not to mention that bs of a law has probably been violated hundreds of times, but without a post made about it, by now and no one has noticed since NO ONE IS CHECKING THEIR GENITALS.

She is a woman and should be able to use the woman's restroom. I think this illustrates the absurdity of these kinds of laws. Can you imagine how going into the men's restroom would be for her? Even if she didn't get harassed or assaulted, it would probably just be awkward. 
A few months ago I was at a rest stop where the women's bathroom was closed so I used the men's. The men I encountered when I was in there stopped dead in their tracks and got this "oh shit!" look on their face thinking they were in the wrong bathroom before I explained why I was in there. I can't imagine having to deal with having to explain myself every time I had to pee in a public restroom.

I still don't understand why anyone cares. A lot of transgender people appear as the sex they feel they are by the way they accessorize and present themselves. If the woman above used the men's restroom, it would cause MORE problems because then men would be confused. No one checks your genitals in the restroom, no ones going to know if you're a biological male or female.

If you look like a woman why not just waltz into the women's restroom and pee or poop without making a fuss? If your dressed like a man and see yourself as a man then go into the men's restroom and use the bathroom. Why do they feel the need to make a law stating men can go into women's bathrooms and vice versa. If your a man and dressed and see yourself as a man then you don't belong in a woman's bathroom. Still predators are capable of putting on a dress.
