What to pack for the hospital?

I'm a FTM and have very little knowledge about what to pack in my hospital bag. Obvi. I need clothes for the baby and myself, carseat, diapers and what not. I'd love to hear what all of you packed & also things you took but didn't need/things you needed but didn't take. :)

Hospital bag is for you primarily. Baby doesn't need much, just a going home outfit and car seat....a blanket maybe. The hospital usually gives you everything else. You'll need everything you would normally take for an overnight stay ... Toothbrush/paste, shampoo etc. A bathrobe, shower shoes/flip flops, and socks or slippers are always good to have. Hospital will give you everything you need for "down there." And don't forget clothes for you. You'll still look about 5 months preg after birth and will be wearing a diaper pretty much lol so bring something you can fit comfortably into. I brought sweat pants and a tshirt specifically to go home in.

Honestly you would need outfits got your to go home in! If you don't want to stay in hospital gown then pack a robe, slippers or extra outfit, take home outfit for baby and outfit for baby to take pics in at hospital! Car seat, your phone, and I'd say snacks for after you have baby incase you don't like the hospital food along with other hygiene items! You really don't need too much! I packed a few outfits for myself but after I had a emergency c section they all ended up too  uncomfortable to wear for me

I plan to take deodorant, tooth paste and tooth brush, hair brush, hair ties, makeup, shampoo, body wash, pads, postpartum support belt, and of course clothes, cell charger, snacks for fiancé! My last hospital barely offered me anything! All I got was diapers and a bag of huge pads!
