Sibling presents???

Recently came across the idea of giving presents to my to older kids from their baby brother due at end of June!
Older brother is 8 going to be 9 in October and sister has just turned 7 in   March!

I was 6 when my baby sis was born. My parents gave me a baby doll in a Moses basket on the day they brought her home. It meant I got to bring a baby home from the hospital too, and could copy what mama was doing.

In a funny turn of events, on the day we brought my sis home, the nurse put my sister in the dolls Moses basket, and my doll into the plastic bassinet. No one noticed in the excitement as my sister had been in the nicu for over a month and a lot of nurses were saying goodbye to my parents. I was fussing and forgetting so mum told I could take my baby out to show my Granda at the car...so I trotted off with my new sister. He nearly shit a brick when he saw it was a real baby and rushed us back into the building. Back at the hospital room my ma was going batshit that her baby was missing & had been stolen. That nurse was given merry hell over the whole thing.

She's been my baby ever since. We are still very close all these years later 😉

Haha I remember when my sister was born 'she' bought me a postman play set. Best toy ever.....I don't think I even noticed she was around for a while after that 😂

I bought my 2 girls gifts when my son was born & if my friends or family have a new baby with older siblings I always get them a gift too as it must be difficult for a child to take everything in an then with the constant gifting an attention to a small baby I feel it is important to make them feel just as special and wanted too. :)

I have done this too! My son is two and I have got him a blue elephant teddy with best big brother on it as he loves his teddies and I have a little cat one for his soon to be little sister from him to her. (Disney Marie from Aristocats). Hopefully we meet her in 33 days or so!

I am going to get a gift to my 6 year old from baby #2.  Just as a big brother and sibling thing.  Something that he is really into or wants.  I hope his bond with the baby starts off well.  He will be 6.5 when the baby comes.

My 5 weeks away from 6 year old got special gifts and treatment while I gave birth to his baby sister. I think it is a great ice breaker for children that are used to being the only child. Now almost seven and just turned one may also get gifts for the third child
