Is it ok to put ice on your lower back for pain?

I know you aren't supposed to use heat so my last resort is ice. I feel like my back is breaking in two and cannot get comfortable and im only 13 weeks.

Ice and heat are not interchangeable. Heat is for muscle tension/soreness and ice is for injuries. I don't know the cause of your pain but do not use ice unless it is an injury. Ice can and probably will make muscle tension worse. Heat is fine to use on your back, as long as you make sure not to overheat yourself.

You can use heat on your back! You just don't want your internal temp to go up past 102. But intermittent heating won't hurt the baby! Just don't put it on your tummy. If you are really worried just use the lower or medium setting on the heating pad

The only thing I've found to help my back is a warm bath with muscle relaxing bubble bath in. Would be hobbling around like my gran otherwise! Lol
