I've had it! When my doctor told me I was like "is that something that will like.. Go away? ...Will I have it forever?" I had no idea what it was! Be very thankful that it wasn't anything more serious & isn't something you'll have forever. I was thanking god that it was treatable. I didn't have sex for a year cause I was so nervous I would get something worse.

I've never had it but I can tell you that you become symptomatic within 7-21 days from contact usually. So, typically it's not something that you'd have for a year and it just now randomly showing signs. It's essentially from whomever you've had sex with within the past 7-21 days

I had it when I met my husband. My previous boyfriend had given it to me after he cheated.. Well I didn't know I had it until after I had met my husband (bf at the time). That was years ago now and I'm not embarrassed. I was at the time though, I felt so awful, but honestly, it's treatable and it's really not that uncommon. Hope you feel better soon. Xo

It's a very common STD! I had it and took anti biotics my doctor prescribed and when I was tested again it was gone. Nothing to be afraid of! You just want to get it taken care of right away and everything should be fine.
