Tampon strings

I was just curious how you deal with going to the bathroom with your tampon in and what you do to avoid peeing all over the string. Do you pull it forward? Do nothing? Take out your tampon whenever you use the restroom? Or do you not care if the string gets a little wet? I know this is a pretty random question, but hey, I'm a random and weird kind of gal. I kind of tuck my tampon strong between the inner and outer lips and I've yet to encounter an issue of a wet tampon string after using the restroom.
