Should he ALWAYS pay?

I have recently started to date a guy and I try to pay every other time we go out. I think we should take turns. But my friends think he should be paying at least for a while at the beginning of a relationship. What do you think???

Maybe insist on leaving the tips. If the man wants to pay for the meals let him. Maybe ask him out to a show or movie and get the tickets yourself ahead of time. That way you will be the one who paid for the date. But if he wants to buy you popcorn just let him, heh.

It took about 3-4 months before my husband let me pay for anything.

It just depends on the dynamic of the relationship, some guys are old fashioned and do this as a sign of respect for the lady they're courting.

My recommendation is to offer politely to pay or split the check, but don't argue or insist about it. And never forget to thank him for it after.
