What do you do if you have "family" members that treat you and your child like you guys don't even exist? Tired of feeling invisible. Don't want to make anymore effort.

They wouldn't be a part of my life. My inlaws always treated my husband like he was the black sheep and I hated it. We have distanced ourselves from them and o ly see them at christmas.

I wouldn't care and wouldn't be making any effort to socialize. Family isn't an obligation.

I would start acting like they don't exist. Even if they are family, if they don't care then I don't care either. I know it hurts when it's your family, trust me, but sometimes it's best to just cut ties with people.
