Leah Shipman: Should her charges have been dropped?

Leah Shipman was a classic case of teacher engaging in sexual activities with her student. Something unfortunately praised in movies/media.

She allegedly got involved with a 15 year old student, lost her position and was arrested. Later she married that same student and charges were dropped because in North Carolina a spouse can't testify agaist their partner.

In your opinion, should they have been dropped?

That's a sneaky way to weasle around the law. I don't think the charges should have been dropped because I think she's a gross pervert, but I understand the whole spousal thing I guess...How old was he when they got married??

It doesn't matter. Like I see that they dropped charges because without his testimony they have no case. But still, she slept with an underage student and she should've been sent to jail

There was a woman in Florida who had sexual relations with a 14 year old and didn't have to go to jail because she was "too pretty" Women are pretty sneaky lol

Very weird... I mean I GUESS I could see her bieng with a 15 yr old who has very strong manly genes and she's like 22 or something. But teachers can't sleep with students they can't just let that go
