birth controL/periods

I've been taking birth control for 3 months, non-stop. I don't have the sugar pills so my doctors said just to keep taking the birth control and don't take a break for your period, until 3 months. so I stopped taking it last Friday bc it was 3 months and I still haven't gotten my period... but I've been bloated and cranky and having cramps (how I usually am when I get my period) is this normal????
