Period finally came after not coming

My period hasn't can but once or twice since stopping birth control (the pill) in about June of last year. The 1-2 times that it did come it was very light and not much at all. It finally came, more normal looking/feeling Sunday of last week (my birthday😭). Should I be worried or is it normal to not have a period for that long after stopping birth control?
