Stripping membranes ??

Okay ladies , so today I went in for my appointment , I'm 39w+1d . They checked my cervix & found put I am 1cm & 70% effaced ! This is exciting to me bc I'm a FTM & it makes me feel better knowing I'm making some kind of progress lol .. anyway .. since I was 1cm dilated they were able to strip my membranes .. my question for you is how long after your membranes were stripped did you start feeling contractions , or did your water break ?? I'm extremely ready to have my baby girl & would like to know if I should expect anything sooner or later ?

I had my stripped with my first on a Saturday and did not have my son till Tuesday and I had to be induced I was having the hardest time I was so uncomfortable and got admitted to the hospital on Sunday I was 4 cm and having contractions every 2-3 min than they would space out so they would send me home this happened again Monday and on Tuesday I went in and refused to be sent home I told them I had no ride to get back home so they induced me the day before my due date

Will a doctor strip membranes at 38 weeks? Baby measured 8 lb 8 oz last week. Just curious if that would be too early to ask.

As of last Friday I was 39 weeks, 1cm dilated and 30% effaced. Had a membrane sweep. That night I had mild contractions for about 4 hours.  Yesterday lost big part of the plug and it was blood tinged.  Hoping labor is soon approaching.

Did nothing for me! with my first I had it done at 39 & 4 days and my guy was 4 days late. Not bothering this time since it really hurt and I cramped and bled a lot after

Had mine done on thursday. Had nothing until yesterday.  Some bloody show and cramping yesterday but nothing today. I think it's probably from doing a lot of walking this weekend and not the actual stripping 😒. Will be doing lots of walking today too! (I was 2 cm and 50% effaced)
