I'm 14 weeks 6 days and had another ob appointment today and once again (yes again!) The Dr couldn't find the heartbeat and thinks that my placenta May be in the front which is causing that to happen. Has this happened to you? If yes, what was the cause? (Btw she does just do an ultrasound and baby is doing great and getting big)

Ive been hearing the heartbeat since 10 weeks with an anterior placenta. I feel very limited movements because of it tho xx

I had an anterior placenta and it did make hearing the heartbeat a bit trickier. Eventually it did move back and everything was A-ok.

It is called anterior placenta it is nothing bad unless the placenta doesn't move up which in my case it did, I wasn't able to hear the heart beat when the doctor tried with the Doppler until about 17 weeks. Each time I had an ultrasound and the heart beat was strong, I had it just means that you'll feel movements at a little later than usual. It is caused by how the baby implanted in the uterus. What the ultra sound tech told me was that with each pregnancy the placenta can grow in different positions or sometime In the same place. Don't worry to much as long as it moves up  you'll be fine.

They couldn't hear my baby's till I was 14 weeks. My doctor said it was because the baby was most likely pushing itself towards the back of the uterus and was turned away. She never mentioned anything about the placenta.
