What all are you putting in your hospital bag for baby?

I plan on having my diaper bag full of diapers, wipes, burp rags, stuff for breastfeeding, and other baby essentials. But what about clothes? I know a coming home outfit but what about what we are at the hospital? Will they have something to put her in until time to go home or should I bring extra sleepers and socks? I have no clue because she is my first.

I've got Vaseline for my sons circumcision, alcohol pads for the umbilical cord stump, diapers, wipes, lots of sleepers, a outfit, one onsie, hat, socks and mittens! ☺️

Outfits and stuff for breastfeeding is perfect. Make sure you have comfy clothes for you and socks! Those hospital room are cold.. I wouldn't worry about diapers because the hospital supplies those. Save your stock for home. They use a name brand diaper so you don't have to worry about that.

I was overly prepared for my daughter (as I think most first time moms are lol) I brought clothes, blankets, diapers, wipes, receiving blankets, and clothes and toiletries for myself. The hospital I had her at wanted her in their onsie while we were there, except for pictures. They said it was because when they did testing and checks on her it was easier access for them. (it was just a white top that opened in front) They had the diapers and wipes, formula if you were formula feeding, and they gave me a hand pump. This time around I won't bring as much, but I will be bringing diapers because my daughter got chemical burns from the pampers and that is the brand they provide.

Your going to want a couple outfits for while ur their so when family and friends come and for pictures

I'd skip the diapers, wipes and burp rags. All of that will be provided by the hospital. You aren't going to want to be bringing home stinky laundry from the hospital. Have baby wear the gowns they provide and just pack one outfit for going home in. Most things you pack will be for YOU and not baby. Toiletries, comfy PJ's (black bottoms are best to avoid blood stains) and I strongly suggest bringing your own pillow. Hospital pillows are VINYL on the outside and just plain terrible.

I wouldnt worry about diaper cuz they provide diapers & wipes (well the hospital I go to does, not sure if evey hospital is the same). Bring sleepwear cuz they only provide 1 or 2 and only top. It's been 7 1/2 years since I gave birth to my daughter, so not sure if they changed. If u wanna use the hospital hat u can, they provide that too and a blanket, but I will still bring my own. And shampoo and baby wash. I don't wanna use J&J(which they use), so I will bring my own(aveeno). Yes!! Im picky 😬. And a coming home outfit, of course. Socks and mittens and If u want the baby to use a pacifier too. I think that covers most of it, lol
